Offshore drilling takes place on oil platforms. So what is offshore drilling? During offshore drilling, an oil company applies drilling equipment deep into the earth. Offshore oil wells can last 10-20 years.
It takes time for oil companies to set up equipment on offshore oil drilling sites. Offshore sites feature derricks, crew quarters, and production facilities. After the setup is complete, it takes a while before an oil drill reaches the oil well; it’s quite a great distance from the surface to the deposits.
Onshore drilling happens at the seabed. Often coastal communities gain from their presence. There is a considerable number of onshore drilling sites in the country and beyond. An onshore drilling operation can take place in two categories. One of the ways is mobile, which features a truck or trailer mounted rig. Such a drilling rig can go to depths of up to 130,000 feet. The other category is a conventional rig, which is stationary with an ability of up to 30,000 feet.
At JT&T, we take strategic steps to ensure that client’s onshore and offshore operations are well completed on time and as required.
